Nobel Prize Laureate Receives Death Threats

Shiria Ebadi is a brave woman. The Iranian lawyer who was awarded the Nobel peace prize in 2003 for her work promoting women’s and children’s rights on Iran have received death threats again.
On April 3 at the entry to her office building , there was a [a] note written. “Shirin Ebadi, your death is near.”
Since 2006, the leading rights activist have complained about receiving death threats. Miss Ebadi “represents clients in some of the Iran’s most sensitive human rights cases and the constant speeches highlighting the situation in her country has ruffled feathers in Iran.
